Constant Korthout new member and Knut Kjaer new chair of the supervisory board of APG Asset Management

The general meeting of shareholders of APG Asset Management has appointed Mr. Constant Korthout as a member of the supervisory board of APG Asset Management for a four-year term. His term has started on July 1, 2024. Mr. Knut Kjaer has been appointed as chair, as of March 8, 2024.


APG Asset Management is a licensed investment manager authorized by Dutch supervisor AFM (‘Autoriteit Financiële Markten’) under the AIFMD and has its own supervisory board.


Mr. Korthout has been a member of the supervisory board of APG Group since August 1, 2023, in the position of chair of the audit and risk Committee.


Constant Korthout has been working in the financial sector for more than 35 years. From 2010 to 2022, he was chief financial officer and risk officer at the asset manager Van Lanschot Kempen. Prior to that, he worked at international asset manager Robeco from 1992 to 2010, most recently as chief financial officer and member of the executive board.


He holds the following ancillary positions:
• Supervisory board member and chair of the risk and audit committee at Knab bank
• Vice-chair of the supervisory board and chair of the audit committee at ANWB
• Supervisory board member and chair of the audit committee at Dijklander Hospital
• Supervisory board member and chair of the risk committee at BNG


Knut Kjaer, member of the supervisory board of APG Asset Management since 2018, has been appointed as chair, as of March 8, 2024. Kjaer was the founding CEO of Norges Bank Investment Management and has a long career in international finance and asset management.
