In 2023, APG, on behalf of ABP, has acquired a direct interest in Forico, one of the largest forest managers in Asia-Pacific. The acquisition includes 170,000 hectares of freehold land, comprised of 90,000 hectares of plantation forests responsibly managed under leading globally recognised certifications, and 77,000 hectares of native forests managed exclusively for conservation, biodiversity and cultural values.

In 2021, APG, on behalf of ABP, invested in the acquisition of a large production forest in Chile covering just over 80,000 hectares. The acquisition is concluded by a consortium composed of three parties: the Timber Investment Group (TIG) of South American investment bank BTG Pactual, the Canadian British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), and APG.

In 2021, APG, on behalf of ABP, has acquired a direct interest in Wenita, the largest producer of forest products in Otago, New Zealand. Wenita manages a plantation estate comprised of approximately 30,000 hectares of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forests in New Zealand.
